Using Gliffy is very easy considering how complicated the subject is. You use this just like a desktop application and even create a file to work in. The workspace has a grid which makes lining items up much easier. It’s then just a matter of clicking and dragging items onto the workspace and then connecting them with lines to create your diagram. This produces very professional results very quickly and very easily. The line styles can be adjusted quickly and without any problem and the end result is professional looking.
When you register for an account you sign up for a free 30 day trial, but don’t worry because you don’t need to enter your credit card details. If you do not pay before 30 days are up then this will revert back to a free account with more restrictions. Registration is pretty easy, you need to enter your name, email address and choose a password. You can also choose to enter the name of your business if you wish. The organization name must be unique if you are choosing to enter it. When registered you will be sent an email, you must confirm your account before you are able to share documents with anyone.
Gliffy offer both a free and premium services. The free service is much more limited and restricted than the premium services. With a free account you can only have a single user with five diagrams and 2 MB of storage. The paid versions of Gliffy Online cost $4.95 per month per user for Gliffy Standard and $9.95 per user for Gliffy Pro. Standard limits you to 200 MB storage and 200 diagrams while Pro offers unlimited storage and unlimited diagrams.
